Essential state building measures are being taken in Azerbaijan. This area will remain a priority for next year too. There will be steps to boost the army’s material and technical base, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Oct.12.
President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in the first nine months of 2015 and the objectives for the future.
The president said Azerbaijan has gained full control along the line of contact, and all the provocation attempts of the enemy have been repelled. “An Armenian subversive group was eliminated last month,” he noted.
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be solved within the principles of international law and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, said the president.
With regard to the statement from the criminal dictatorship in Armenia that Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Armenia, President Aliyev said the world community and international organizations recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan. “The statement made in an intense psychological state exposes and disgraces the Armenian authorities,” he added.
Azerbaijan is a strong country, has made great achievements in the economic and political fields, and plays an important role in regional affairs, the head of state said, noting “no project can be implemented in the region without the consent and participation of Azerbaijan”.
President Ilham Aliyev stated that the economic and military potential further increases the power of Azerbaijan.
